About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive the ongoing design evolution for the Preference Center and Notifications Feed initiatives.
- Own the UX for new nudges, and member communication recovery patterns.
- Improve the Connect tab and its integration with the broader communication experience.
- Collaborate on design and content strategy with Growth, Product Management (PM), Engineering, Data Science (DS), and MarTech on member-facing communication surfaces and experiments.
- Lead the continuation of work beyond initial launches to ensure the area has a stable design owner.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A polished and updated portfolio showing shipped or in-progress product work, with foundational skills in interaction design and visual design.
- 3+ years of product design experience, including partnering with product and engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction, Industrial, Product, Service design, Human-computer interaction, or equivalent experience.
- Experience contributing to end-to-end product design on native mobile platforms—from understanding the opportunity to supporting concept development and shipment; tablet familiarity is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, basic user research, and design documentation, with guidance from more senior designers.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience partnering with cross-functional teammates such as product managers and engineers.
- Ability to learn new programs quickly and understand their nuances, with an emerging ability to think systematically about how different experiences connect and diverge.
- Experience creating and documenting user flows, journeys, and/or simple service maps to support design decisions.
- Iterative mindset: Ability to incorporate user and stakeholder feedback into designs and clearly explain design decisions.
- Growing comfort with metrics: Experience using qualitative or quantitative signals to understand outcomes and improve designs.
