About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shape 0→1 program experiences by turning ambiguous opportunities into clear, compelling product directions and tangible member experiences.
  • Lead discovery and validation work to identify unmet member needs, prototype lean solutions, and know when there is enough signal to move forward or change direction.
  • Design high-quality end-to-end flows for new programs, from first concepts through launch, with strong attention to usability, clarity, and emotional experience.
  • Partner across product, engineering, clinical, data, and commercial teams to move priorities forward and build alignment without relying on formal authority.
  • Create structure in unfamiliar domains by synthesizing user needs, clinical context, business goals, and technical constraints into clear hypotheses and design decisions.
  • Contribute scalable patterns and design principles that help new programs feel cohesive within the broader Hinge Health ecosystem.
  • Champion quality, accessibility, and inclusivity so new experiences are thoughtful and effective for a diverse range of members.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A standout and up-to-date portfolio demonstrating high-impact product work, strong craft, and measurable outcomes.
  • 5+ years of product design experience, including close partnership with product and engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction, Industrial, Product, or Service Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading ambiguous problem spaces and translating business goals into clear user problems, testable hypotheses, and effective product directions.
  • Strong interaction and visual design skills, with a track record of simplifying complex flows into polished, intuitive experiences.
  • Proven ability to drive end-to-end execution on complex initiatives, anticipate risks, and deliver work with clarity and reliability.
  • Strong communication and influence skills, including the ability to align cross-functional partners and advocate for a clear point of view with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using prototypes, qualitative feedback, and quantitative signals to inform design decisions and improve outcomes.
