About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Clean, calibrate, and maintain non-sterile compounding equipment and designated workspaces.
- Assist with staging raw materials and managing non-sterile compounding inventory.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
- Participate in site-specific training, ongoing competency assessments, and annual revalidation.
- Maintain proper documentation, including batch records, ingredient logs, and cleaning logs.
- Follow USP <795> and <800> requirements and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Compound non-sterile medications (tablets, solutions, suspensions, gummy formulations, etc.) following prescription orders and site SOPs upon completion of certification.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio
- At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience; prior experience in hospital or compounding settings preferred.
- Familiarity with USP <795> and <800> standards and non-sterile compounding processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain compliance in a regulated environment.
- Organized, dependable, and collaborative team player.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality standards.
