About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist management with evaluating delinquency percentages for the loan portfolio and maintenance fee account
- Monitor team performance through auditing, identify opportunities, and provide feedback
- Oversee collections staff quality assurance for compliance with policies, procedures, and state and federal law
- Contact delinquent owners by telephone and mail to retrieve outstanding payments
- Communicate company policies and procedures alongside collection tactics and practices
- Assist collections staff with daily processes and procedures
- Assist management with owner requests and complaints
- Provide ongoing training and support, including bi-annual FDCPA certification for collections staff
- Assist with coaching and development, team-building activities, recognition of high performers, and resolution of team issues or conflicts
- Provide supervisor support during absences
- Assist with special projects requested by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Graduate
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in collections or a related field (advantageous)
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience (advantageous)
- Solid understanding of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA)
