About the role

  • Responsible for the design, implementation and support of SAP ECC solutions in the Sales and Distribution (SD) and Customer Service (CS) modules
  • Close collaboration with business departments to optimize sales, service and after-sales processes
  • Implementing and monitoring interfaces to third-party systems, primarily related to sales processes
  • Leading and supporting the configuration, development and maintenance of the SAP SD and CS modules in an ECC environment
  • Working with users to assess change requests, perform feasibility analyses and clarify detailed requirements
  • Responsibility for end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes, including quotations, sales orders, pricing, delivery, billing and credit management
  • Supporting Customer Service processes such as service and repair notifications, service orders, repair processing, warranties and contract management
  • Coordinating integration with other SAP modules (MM, FI/CO, PP, WM) as well as connected third-party systems
  • Preparing and reviewing functional specifications for ABAP developments, interfaces and reports
  • Conducting unit, integration and user acceptance tests (UAT) together with key users
  • Providing user training, documentation and go-live support

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration or a comparable qualification
  • At least five years of practical experience as an SAP SD consultant in an SAP ECC environment, including experience in second-level support and project work
  • Proven expertise in SD configuration, particularly pricing, billing, service orders and warranty processes
  • Experience in incident and change management
  • Solid understanding of core business processes, especially Order-to-Cash, service management and returns processing, ideally in the mechanical and plant engineering sector
  • Willingness and ability to become familiar with a highly customized SAP system
  • Experience in cross-functional integration with MM, FI/CO, PP and WM
  • Experience implementing and monitoring interfaces to CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), shipping solutions, EDI, etc.
  • Very good German and English skills
