About the role
- Provide application expertise to Sales, Engineering, and Projects by supporting system design, sizing, and testing activities.
- Develop expertise in pneumatic conveying sizing programs and conduct research related to process development.
- Conduct testing to determine optimal equipment specifications, including PD blowers, rotary airlocks, filter receivers, and ancillary components.
- Support customer consultations to understand their process needs and recommend tailored solutions.
- Lead or support system startup, operation, and troubleshooting activities in the field, often managing multiple projects simultaneously with overlapping schedules.
- Perform design studies to identify recommended changes, scope, and capital costs, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct safety reviews such as life safety assessments and HAZOPs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop standardized calculations, technical white papers, and process documentation for internal and external use.
- Support R&D projects by designing experiments, collecting data, and analyzing results to improve system performance.
- Present technical information at conferences and in front of large groups (200+ attendees).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in pneumatic conveying, material handling, or process system design in a similar role/industry.
- Strong problem-solving mentality and ability to think critically.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Ability to interpret technical data, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to develop expertise in pneumatic conveying sizing programs.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customer projects and system testing.
