About the role
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for Trail Ridge Power and its related entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and intercompany eliminations
- Manage entity-level and consolidated financial statements, including lender-required consolidations
- Own ERP system administration and optimization, including configuration, workflows, reporting, and internal controls (Sage Intacct)
- Serve as the accounting lead for ERP migration or reimplementation initiatives
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies
- Act as an accounting liaison for external auditors, lenders, and other third-party stakeholders
- Develop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a scaling organization
- Collaborate with FP&A, Asset Management, and senior leadership on financial reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc requests
- Provide oversight, guidance, and review of work prepared by GL and Staff Accountants
- Support special projects and complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a manager or lead role
- Public accounting experience at a Top 10 firm strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and intercompany eliminations
- Hands-on ERP experience desirable (Sage Intacct)
- Experience supporting external audits and lender or investor reporting
- Background in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, construction, or project-based industries is desirable
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills
- Comfort designing, implementing, and refining existing accounting processes and internal controls in a growing organization
