About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Compare readings of measuring devices to established standards and adjust them to achieve proper output
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production instruments when necessary
- Manage and maintain documentation of all calibrations and investigations for potential calibrations
- Assist in maintaining production instrumentation and conduct calibrations on production equipment, including temperature, pressure and humidity transmitters, autoclaves, ovens, conductivity equipment, balances, and load cells
- Research and make recommendations for new equipment or parts
- Train colleagues in calibration procedures
- Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of production equipment instrumentation
- Advise non-related departments on technical matters
- Collect, analyze, and summarize calibration data
- Prepare calibration reports
- Adapt calibration equipment for new or unusual measurement tasks
- Correct measurement errors when identified
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of algebra to solve measurement-related issues and determine how to address measurement errors
- Knowledge of basic electronics
- Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
- Ability to lift and maneuver 25 kg weights
- Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality
- Technical school preferred
- 1 year of instrumentation experience preferred
