About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Compare readings of measuring devices to established standards and adjust them to achieve proper output
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production instruments when necessary
Manage and maintain documentation of all calibrations and investigations for potential calibrations
Assist in maintaining production instrumentation and conduct calibrations on production equipment, including temperature, pressure and humidity transmitters, autoclaves, ovens, conductivity equipment, balances, and load cells
Research and make recommendations for new equipment or parts
Train colleagues in calibration procedures
Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of production equipment instrumentation
Advise non-related departments on technical matters
Collect, analyze, and summarize calibration data
Prepare calibration reports
Adapt calibration equipment for new or unusual measurement tasks
Correct measurement errors when identified

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of algebra to solve measurement-related issues and determine how to address measurement errors
Knowledge of basic electronics
Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
Ability to lift and maneuver 25 kg weights
Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality
Technical school preferred
1 year of instrumentation experience preferred
