About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Compare readings of measuring devices to established standards and adjust them to achieve proper output
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production instruments when necessary
  • Manage and maintain documentation of all calibrations and investigations for potential calibrations
  • Assist in maintaining production instrumentation and conduct calibrations on production equipment, including temperature, pressure and humidity transmitters, autoclaves, ovens, conductivity equipment, balances, and load cells
  • Research and make recommendations for new equipment or parts
  • Train colleagues in calibration procedures
  • Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of production equipment instrumentation
  • Advise non-related departments on technical matters
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize calibration data
  • Prepare calibration reports
  • Adapt calibration equipment for new or unusual measurement tasks
  • Correct measurement errors when identified

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of algebra to solve measurement-related issues and determine how to address measurement errors
  • Knowledge of basic electronics
  • Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to lift and maneuver 25 kg weights
  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality
  • Technical school preferred
  • 1 year of instrumentation experience preferred
