About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and ship features across iOS and Android apps, including required backend changes
Own releases from cut to store on both platforms
Extend release automation to reduce staffing needs and catch more issues before shipping
Build tests, instrumentation, and review gates for high-quality releases without a manual QA pass
Drive architecture decisions on mobile codebases through adoption
Partner with product and design on feature prioritization and product decisions
Use coding agents where they create leverage
Improve tools, guardrails, and workflows for safe AI-assisted delivery
Raise the team's engineering bar

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrated Kotlin Multiplatform experience in production applications
Experience shipping shared KMP code or deciding where a shared boundary belongs
Production code shipped outside the primary platform within the last two years, on iOS, backend, or web
Experience carrying a significant architecture or platform change from proposal to adoption
Ability to work with APIs, entitlements, and analytics
Automation-first quality practices and deliberate device testing
Active use of AI coding agents; ability to distinguish appropriate agent usage and assess output
Clear written and verbal communication
Pragmatic judgment and ability to explain speed-versus-quality tradeoffs
Three days per week in-office in Seattle
Legally eligible to work in the United States
