Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules
  • Coordinate material requirements to ensure approved materials flow in time to meet production requirements
  • Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability and potential production problems
  • Schedule equipment and personnel
  • Confirm material supply and demands
  • Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic
  • Schedule and expedite movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers and shipping-order requests

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Or Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience
  • Equivalent pathways include NNS Apprentice School graduation
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduation
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program plus 2 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program plus 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED plus 4 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED plus 8 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • No clearance required to start
