About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules
- Coordinate material requirements to ensure approved materials flow in time to meet production requirements
- Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability and potential production problems
- Schedule equipment and personnel
- Confirm material supply and demands
- Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts
- Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic
- Schedule and expedite movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers and shipping-order requests
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience
- Or Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience
- Equivalent pathways include NNS Apprentice School graduation
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduation
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program plus 2 years of relevant exempt experience
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program plus 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED plus 4 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED plus 8 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military or other relevant non-exempt experience
- U.S. citizenship required
- No clearance required to start
