Key responsibilities & impact

Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules
Coordinate material requirements to ensure approved materials flow in time to meet production requirements
Advise management on work-in-progress status, material availability and potential production problems
Schedule equipment and personnel
Confirm material supply and demands
Prepare work orders or purchase requests for production or purchase of components or parts
Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic
Schedule and expedite movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers and shipping-order requests

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience
Equivalent pathways include NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Exposure to network scheduling techniques is highly preferred
U.S. Citizenship required
