About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
Conduct preliminary analyses of data using provided guidelines, including trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency
Make quantitative judgments concerning technical data
Use a personal computer to perform analyses and develop documentation and reports
Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
Serve as a Repair Activity Representative for the CVN 68 Inactivation Program

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience
NNS Apprentice School graduate may be equivalent to an Associate's Degree
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate may be equivalent to an Associate's Degree
High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, or Military experience may be equivalent to an Associate's Degree
High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, or Military experience may be equivalent to an Associate's Degree
U.S. Citizenship required
Ability to perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
Ability to conduct preliminary technical data analyses
Ability to use a personal computer for analyses and engineering documentation
Ability to produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
