About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
Conduct preliminary analyses of data, including trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency
Make quantitative judgments concerning technical data
Use personal computers for analyses and development of documentation and reports
Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
Support electrical test engineering for USS Nimitz (CVN-68) Inactivation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience
Relevant electrical experience
U.S. citizenship required
Final clearance required to start
One of the following may substitute for the Associate's Degree: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate; High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, or Military experience; High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, or Military experience
Prior naval nuclear program experience is nice to have
Travel 10%-25% of the time
Must work in person; not eligible for telework
