About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
  • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
  • Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
  • Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
  • Conduct preliminary analyses of data, including trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency
  • Make quantitative judgments concerning technical data
  • Use personal computers for analyses and development of documentation and reports
  • Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
  • Support electrical test engineering for USS Nimitz (CVN-68) Inactivation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience
  • Relevant electrical experience
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Final clearance required to start
  • One of the following may substitute for the Associate's Degree: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate; High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, or Military experience; High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, or Military experience
  • Prior naval nuclear program experience is nice to have
  • Travel 10%-25% of the time
  • Must work in person; not eligible for telework
  • Multiple shifts
