About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks
Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, including laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes
Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics
Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
Conduct preliminary analyses of data, including trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency
Make quantitative judgments concerning technical data
Use personal computers to perform analyses and develop documentation and reports
Conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis
Support vendor software coordination within the department

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's Degree and 1 years of relevant experience
Equivalent pathways: NNS Apprentice School graduate; Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate; High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience; or High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred but not required: Proficiency in Excel/Microsoft Office
Preferred but not required: Familiarity with SAP
Preferred but not required: Understanding process flow
Preferred but not required: Strong communication skills
Preferred but not required: Previous technical experience
