About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead operational strategy development to increase shipbuilding throughput
Analyze constraints and opportunities
Identify solutions, both internal and through partnerships
Manage a high-functioning team of Strategy Leads and Operations Analysts to execute the Operational Strategy Mission
Lead cross-functional teams to develop investment strategies across operations, supply chain, workforce, and infrastructure
Conduct diagnostic analyses to identify constraints and opportunities
Identify and implement new technologies and processes to streamline operations
Manage execution of initiatives by partnering with stakeholders across the company
Lead internal teams and coordinate closely with initiative owners to develop and execute value creation plans, roadmaps and business cases
Prepare strategy documents for senior internal and external stakeholders
Regular interface with senior leaders and all functional areas of the business

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience, Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience, High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience, High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Experience in defense, shipbuilding, operations, manufacturing, and/or supply chain
Prior experience in management consulting or internal consulting
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
Strong analytical ability.
