About the role
- Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
- Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
- This position is in fleet technical support of NIMITZ class ship specifically in the ETC system and advanced electrical system area
- Significant interaction with both internal and external customers
- Overseeing senior/junior engineers with guidance/advisor on any questions of making decision in the technical needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience
- Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience
- Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
- significant experience in the Control System and equipment of the systems function
- experience with controls integration of motors, motor drives, variable frequency drive, and encoders
- familiarity with carrier reactor and propulsion plant arrangement, operation and construction is also desired
- experience leading complex technical projects
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
