About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Actively train on meaningful projects
- Work closely with a mentor and senior company leadership
- First be qualified through the shipyard's state of the art welding school
- Responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various components on Aircraft Carriers, Submarines, and other Surface Ships
- Perform work governed by detailed technical work documents and procedural guidelines
- Utilize hand tools and power tools/equipment including drills, rivet guns, grinders, CNC fabricators, and more
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active-Duty Military ONLY within final 180 days of active-duty service
- Transitioning Military candidates can begin applying within final 12 months of military service
- Education and Experience dependent on Program of Instruction
