About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Utilizes metrology calibration systems and techniques to measure characteristics of objects based on applied principles of measurement science.
  • Performs measurement surveys using Photogrammetry, Total Stations, Laser Trackers, CMM’s or other electronic 3D instruments.
  • Uses 3D model based software and design drawings to plan and execute the measurement survey including the analysis of the collected data to the end user.
  • Develops, coordinates, and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design.
  • Recommends design or test methods utilizing metrology methodologies for the achievement of product reliability.
  • Compiles and analyzes measured data reports, includes analysis of relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes.
  • May utilize Visual Basic to enhance the functionality of 3D measurement software.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A program graduation certificate from an approved institution may be substituted for an Apprentice Certification, Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in relevant field and 3 years of related experience.
  • 2 years of related experience can be substituted for Associate's degree.
  • 4 years of non-related experience can be substituted for Associate's degree.
