About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
  • Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards
  • Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems
  • Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met
  • Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications
  • Individuals will work within the NNS Plant infrastructure by working with system owners to improve functionality at NNS
  • Focus on continuous improvement for processes associated with NNS infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Master's Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • Experience working in a high pace, team environment
  • Experience in data analysis, including ability to generate custom data pulls and reports from PowerBi and SAP
  • Experience with process improvement tools and techniques and an ability to coordinate improvement efforts
  • Experience working with Regulatory agencies (NAVSEA/SUPSHIP etc)
