About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
- Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards
- Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems
- Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
- Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met
- Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications
- Individuals will work within the NNS Plant infrastructure by working with system owners to improve functionality at NNS
- Focus on continuous improvement for processes associated with NNS infrastructure
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience
- Master's Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
- Experience working in a high pace, team environment
- Experience in data analysis, including ability to generate custom data pulls and reports from PowerBi and SAP
- Experience with process improvement tools and techniques and an ability to coordinate improvement efforts
- Experience working with Regulatory agencies (NAVSEA/SUPSHIP etc)
