About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design
  • Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling
  • Serve as a technical expert for O41 Plant Engineering on Facilities’ structural systems
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to internal and external customers
  • Perform design reviews of contractor project submittals
  • Prepare and/or review impact studies
  • Serve as a mentor for younger engineers
  • Perform structural evaluations and respond to emergent safety related issues
  • Direct work assignments of consultants and contractors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the structural disciplines
  • Civil Engineering Degree
  • Experience in steel, concrete, prestressed concrete, and wood design
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships
