About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install and repair marine electrical cable throughout the ship
- Install, route, and terminate lighting systems and electrical power equipment
- Work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics to complete accurate, code-compliant installations
- Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to ensure proper function and safety
- Operate in an active shipyard environment involving heights, confined spaces, and variable conditions
- Follow safety procedures that meet — and often exceed — industry standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in electrical installation, repair, or industrial/marine electrical work
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safe work practices
- Reliability, teamwork, and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
- Minimum 4 years experience in the commercial, industrial or marine electrical field
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Read and interpret marine drawings and/or blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements
