About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install and repair marine electrical cable throughout the ship
  • Install, route, and terminate lighting systems and electrical power equipment
  • Work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics to complete accurate, code-compliant installations
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to ensure proper function and safety
  • Operate in an active shipyard environment involving heights, confined spaces, and variable conditions
  • Follow safety procedures that meet — and often exceed — industry standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in electrical installation, repair, or industrial/marine electrical work
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safe work practices
  • Reliability, teamwork, and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
  • Minimum 4 years experience in the commercial, industrial or marine electrical field
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Read and interpret marine drawings and/or blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements
