Key responsibilities & impact

Perform abrasive blasting and painting operations using specialized marine coatings
Apply coatings to meet specific contract, specification, and quality requirements
Interpret and follow blasting and painting standards, including: – Surface preparation and blast profiles – Mil thickness requirements – Environmental and application tolerances
Execute blasting and painting tasks as directed by supervision across various shipyard environments
Follow all safety procedures that meet — and often exceed — industry standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience in industrial or marine blasting and painting
Understanding of coating systems, blast profiles, and mil‑thickness requirements
Ability to work safely in demanding environments, including heights and confined spaces
Strong attention to detail, dependability, and teamwork
Requires a minimum 3 or more years experience as a painter/blaster
Must be able to perform all blast requirements and functions utilizing all applications
Identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies as required by the contract specifications
