About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Installs, aligns, and repairs ship machinery such as propelling machinery, auxiliary motors, pumps, ventilating equipment, steering gear, laundry and galley equipment
Lays out passage holes on bulkheads, decks, and other surfaces for connection such as shafting and steam lines
Align reduction gears, bearing, shafting, propellers, and rudder and steering engine assemblies

What you’ll need

Requires a minimum of 4 or more years of experience as an outside machinist
Prior Shipyard experience a minimum of 4 or more years of experience as an outside machinist
