Key responsibilities & impact

Develops, analyzes, researches, and designs welding techniques, procedures, and applications.
Uses engineering principles to manipulate materials for fabrication and assembly processes.
Prepares technical documentation in order to implement waterfront welding processes including specifications, analyses, standards, and restrictions.
Creates new or modifies current welding methods, techniques, and procedures in order to substantiate welding theories.

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience
Must Have Master’s Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
