About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze, program, configure, test and implement cloud or on-premise software applications in support of business objectives
  • May be responsible for part of or all aspects of the application/system life cycle as it relates to citizen development, including coordination with user groups to identify solutions that improve business processes, implementing changes, training, other user-focused activities and prepares specifications
  • Works with the enterprise software development organization as a citizen developer to plan, manage and implement the installation of application/system upgrades, integrations and overall maintenance of system changes
  • Align the organization’s IT infrastructure with business processes/data to improve the efficiency & productivity of operations and research/recommend changes in application/system environment through internal customization and identify opportunities for increased productivity cost reduction
  • Develop programming scripts to automate functionality of business applications and conduct user training as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of relevant exempt experience
  • One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree for Information Technology Related Positions Only: NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
