About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
This position will support the Frigate Ship Design Team and will report to the Frigate Ship Design Manager.
The position requires the ability to provide broad program technical direction and report on the associated engineering efforts.
Significant interaction with program management and customer organizations supporting the Frigate execution is expected.
Assure technical adequacy, accuracy, and quality of engineering products developed.
Supports the review of engineering products developed under area of responsibility.
Act as an advisor to the SDM to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.

Requirements

What you’ll need

9 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school field
7 years of relevant professional experience or a Master's Degree
4 years of relevant professional experience with a PhD.
