Manager, Regulatory Compliance
HIIRegulatory Compliance Manager overseeing compliance regulations in financial processes. Working at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding with a rich 135-year history in naval shipbuilding.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interprets federal and state and/or international regulations as they apply to products, financial processes, and other processes, practices and procedures.
- Implements policies and procedures to ensure that these are in compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations and that regulatory reporting requirements are met.
- Investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc.
- May develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies.
- May audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.
- This position is responsible for administering Purchasing System regulations to ensure compliance with Federal, Agency and contract requirements.
- Duties and responsibilities include conducting internal surveillance of the system, participating in internal/external compliance audits, responding to various inquiries, and ensuring policies, & general PO terms are in alignment with requirements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience
- Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
- One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
