About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Interprets federal and state and/or international regulations as they apply to products, financial processes, and other processes, practices and procedures.
  • Implements policies and procedures to ensure that these are in compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations and that regulatory reporting requirements are met.
  • Investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc.
  • May develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies.
  • May audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations.
  • This position is responsible for administering Purchasing System regulations to ensure compliance with Federal, Agency and contract requirements.
  • Duties and responsibilities include conducting internal surveillance of the system, participating in internal/external compliance audits, responding to various inquiries, and ensuring policies, & general PO terms are in alignment with requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience
  • Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
