About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts
  • Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems
  • Develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
  • Assists facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities
  • Directly supports execution of the DDG 1000 and DDG 1002 overhaul activities at HII - Ingalls Shipbuilding
  • Coordinates with Operations, Program Office, Supply Chain, and the Navy Customer to drive engineering solutions through to implementation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills are preferred including VBA
  • Prior US Navy overhaul experience is preferred.
