About the role
- manage/lead engineers responsible for identifying the equipment and processes necessary to defuel & refuel a FORD-class aircraft carrier
- ensure adherence to established regulatory and functional requirements of new facilities to support FORD-class refuelings
- manage/lead engineers responsible for developing shipyard furnished equipment, processes, and radiological controls to perform reactor maintenance for FORD-class carriers
- interface with reactor prime contractor management to ensure program alignment in support of government commitments concerning head-area maintenance
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering, and design
- Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
- understanding of naval nuclear propulsion program (NNPP) tenets
- effective management of long range planning efforts
