Manage contract/task order lifecycle, including RFP review/proposals support, quotes, negotiations, awards, renewals, change orders, modifications, ongoing contract administration and close out
Support business development activities by providing contract and RFP-related risk assessment, recommendations, and ensuring compliance
Collaborate with legal and senior management on non-standard terms and conditions
Develop and refine contract management policies and procedures as the company scales
Administer various types of contracts, including but not limited to IDIQ, FFP, Cost-Type, and T&M
Liaise collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders and counsel to resolve any contract disputes, risks and issues
Manage all existing contracts to comply with contract requirements and company policies
Maintain contract documentation including tracking and reporting contract funding, backlog, and historical award information
Lead contract kick-off efforts with internal teams, vendors/subcontractors, and customers.
Maintain a comprehensive contract database for easy access and reference
Prepare, review, and participate in the negotiations of subcontracts, teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements, memoranda of understanding, and other agreements and tools
Prepare and standardize templates such as statements of work, master services agreements, teaming agreements, and subcontract agreements, including flow-down of prime-contract clauses
Work with general counsel to ensure that the company and its employees comply with regulatory requirements, contractual terms and conditions, and internal policies and procedures
Provide guidance and training to staff on contract management best practices
Oversee government reporting and periodic compliance filings
Requirements
10+ years of experience in contract management or a related field with a significant portion of that experience in fast-paced environments, preferably within the software or technology field.
Experience with RFP-based solicitations, proposals and contracting
Demonstrated management expertise with contracting with educational institutions, as well as state and local governments is highly preferred.
Familiarity with local government and commercial regulations and standards
Proven ability to manage a large volume of contractual actions simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology
Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or related field
Professional certification in contract management (e.g., CPCM, CCMP) preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software
