About the role
- Proactively engage with self-serve users to drive trial activation, adoption, and conversion.
- Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and in-app signals to encourage trial engagement.
- Guide users through onboarding flows, product features, and best practices to accelerate time-to-value.
- Align product capabilities to user goals, needs, and business objectives to maximize trial success.
- Build rapport and trust with users to inspire trial completion and subscription conversion.
- Effectively communicate the HighLevel value proposition to create urgency and interest in upgrading.
- Address user questions, challenges, and objections with confidence, ensuring a smooth trial experience.
- Maintain accurate records of user interactions, engagement metrics, and feedback in CRM and analytics systems.
- Collaborate with Trial Experience, Marketing, and Product teams to optimize trial flows, messaging, and conversion strategies.
- Execute engagement strategies (email, in-app messaging, etc.) to keep users active and progressing through the trial.
- Take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent SaaS sales experience strongly preferred
- 2–3 years in a business development, SDR, BDR, or pre-sales role - especially in SaaS or technical sales
- Proven ability to guide users through product onboarding and drive trial activation and adoption.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain software features clearly to non-technical users.
- Working knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, social media management, digital advertising, website/funnel building, and SEO.
- Experience using—or quickly learning—various CRM platforms, communication tools, and in-app engagement systems.
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and common social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Exceptional time management, organization, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Self-motivated to meet and exceed engagement, adoption, and conversion targets.
- Ability to translate complex product concepts into simple, actionable steps for self-serve users.
- Strong critical thinking, active listening, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Quick learner who can adapt to evolving product features, onboarding flows, and engagement strategies.
- Positive, self-starter mindset with a track record of thriving in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
