Business Development Representative
Highland Electric FleetsBusiness Development Representative focusing on developing relationships with potential customers for electric fleet solutions. Using communication skills to cultivate strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
- Present our company to potential clients
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
- Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
- Report to the Business Development Manager on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
- Some travel may be required (up to 10%)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3+ years’ experience in sales, operations, account management, customer success, and/or business development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as a part of a team
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate effectiveness and recommend necessary adjustments
- Demonstrated ability to perform research, organize tasks and execute actions involving multiple team members in a gated and deadline driven environment
- Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace, CRM and ability to learn new applications
- Customer service, multi-channel sales, stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills are a plus
- Interest or prior knowledge of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and / or clean transportation is a plus
- Motivational self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong time management and organizational skills
