About the role
- Support communications and digital programs by producing video content
- Work closely with the Communications Department and other teams
- Create compelling video content across platforms
- Meet tight deadlines during election cycles
- Produce short- and long-form video content
- Record virtual interviews and sessions
- Capture and produce footage
- Edit videos for various formats
- Collaborate on scripts and materials
Requirements
- Proven experience as a freelance video producer and editor
- Strong portfolio of digital-first video content
- Experience working with advocacy, nonprofit, or political organizations
- Ability to work collaboratively with communications teams
- Strong storytelling and editorial instincts
- Familiarity with accessibility and captioning best practices
- Cultural competency and experience working with Black-led organizations strongly preferred
- Experience with video shooting is a plus
