About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead workplace investigations
- Coach leaders on performance management, discipline, attendance, accommodations, and conflict resolution
- Support workforce planning, employee engagement, leadership development, WCB/return-to-work, HR analytics, and legislative compliance
- Support unionized operations
- Interpret collective agreements
- Investigate grievances
- Support collective bargaining initiatives
- Support employer branding, recruitment marketing, career fairs, community outreach, workforce planning, and candidate experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources or related discipline
- CPHR designation (or working toward certification) is an asset
- 5 – 8 years of progressive HR experience in retail, hospitality, or multi-site operations
- Strong employee relations and labour relations, union and collective bargaining initiatives experience
- Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Dayforce experience is an asset
- A valid driver's license is required
