About the role
- Architect and code data structure from ingestion to visualization using Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau
- Implement best practices for the data platform that provides maintainability, reliability, and efficiency
- Provide expertise in data warehouse modeling and development for Snowflake using dbt
- Exercise best practices in optimal Data modeling for nonuniform sets of data
- Provide best practices for source code control with Github
- Design and Maintain data security access controls
- Develop SQL, HTML, and/or Javascript code to optimize the stack or to generate views for visualization
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver to respective stakeholders
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data developers
Requirements
- 10-12 years Data Engineering Development and visualization experience
- 8-10 years of Data Warehouse experience is required. Snowflake DWH is preferred
- 8-10 years of SQL experience, Snowflake SQL is preferred
- Experience with the following Enterprise systems: SalesForce, Oracle, Workday, Jira, Adaptive, Anaplan
- 4-6 years of dbt Cloud experiences, semantic layer experience is a plus
- 3-5 years of building Tableau Data Sources and dashboarding
- 2+ years of Python development
- HTML and Javascript experiences as it relates to Looker are preferred
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills
- 3-5 years of experience with Github
- 3-5 years of experience with CI/CD tools for the modern data stack
- BS in Computer Science. The emphasis in Data Engineering is a plus
- Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the USA / Must be a US citizen located in the US
