About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead contract management activities for the execution phase of large Capex projects with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers and other third parties using contract forms such as UAV-GC, FIDIC and bespoke agreements
- Monitor contractor and supplier performance against contractual obligations, identifying and managing risks, claims and disputes
- Manage change orders, variations and claims, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation
- Advise the project manager and wider project team on contractual rights, obligations and risks
- Work closely with legal, finance and procurement colleagues to align contract strategy with project and company objectives
- Support the development and continuous improvement of contract management processes, templates and tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven track record in contract management of complex construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in the energy sector
- 10+ years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years in a contract management role
- Strong knowledge of construction contract forms, in particular UAV-GC and FIDIC
- Experience with claims management, dispute resolution and commercial negotiations
- BSc or MSc degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites across the Netherlands and Europe.
