About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Record transactions in the general ledger
Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts and supporting financial schedules
Assist with preparation of financial statements and distribution letters to members
Process and monitor travel, entertainment, purchase order, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions
Ensure timely and accurate application of cash receipts and disbursements
Assist with tax filings and maintenance of tax schedules with tax advisors
Process and review payroll using Bamboo HR payroll services in partnership with HR
Organize and maintain customer and vendor contracts, lease agreements, and schedules
Match vendor invoices to contracts and verify charges against agreed terms
Maintain fixed asset, deferred revenue, and capitalized cost schedules
Provide cash flow, expense, and ad hoc analysis
Identify financial statement risks and develop or enhance mitigating key controls
Update accounting process documentation and assist with streamlined or automated processes
Research and document accounting policies
Work with the Controller, accounting staff, and other departments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong analytical and communication skills
Highly detail oriented and organized
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, customers, vendors, auditors, and advisors
Eagerness to learn and implement new processes and systems
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Ability to gather and analyze information and develop alternative solutions
Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of AI, NetSuite, Concur T&E, and Convergent is a plus
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Minimum of 3–5 years of public accounting or corporate accounting/finance experience
Certified Public Accountant designation or passed CPA exam parts is a plus
