About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the invoicing process end-to-end
- Generate accurate billing schedules and invoices on time
- Proactively monitor accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, and irregularities
- Lead AR collections and manage accounts
- Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and Legal to ensure accurate contract setup and billing
- Support revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
- Drive month-end close deliverables, including journal entries, revenue and related reconciliations
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve billing, collections, and cash application workflows
- Take on ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives as they arise
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 - 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting in a SaaS or technology company
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition concepts
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite and revenue automation tools such as Stripe, HubiFi, or Zuora
- Experience with AI, cloud infrastructure, consumption-based pricing, or usage-based billing models
- Comfortable using AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude); prior AI experience isn't required, but a willingness to learn and adopt new tools is expected
- Experience improving accounting processes and implementing automation.
