About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Business Analyst is a key contributor on the product management team, responsible for translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements that drive product development in a fast-paced environment.
  • This role works closely with the Director of Product Management, engineering, and business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements that support the delivery of high-impact technology solutions.
  • This role operates in a Microsoft-based development environment, collaborating closely with engineering teams using Azure DevOps, SQL Server, and modern .NET-based solutions.
  • Elicit, document, and manage detailed business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process analysis.
  • Translate business objectives into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for development teams.
  • Analyze existing workflows and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine requirements based on technical constraints, data considerations, and system dependencies.
  • Partner with product managers to maintain and refine the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined and prioritized.
  • Create, maintain, and manage work items (epics, features, user stories, defects) in Azure DevOps.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience in a business analyst or similar role within a technology-focused organization
  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured, actionable requirements
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in sprint ceremonies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
