About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete nutrition assessments and follow-ups for individuals with increased nutritional needs
Document nutritional goals and changes in status in medical records
Educate individuals and family members on nutritional needs
Attend patient rounds on assigned floors
Inform nursing and physicians of changes in nutritional status
Participate in patient/resident satisfaction programs with culinary and nutrition services
Ensure processes are followed and participate in performance improvements
Educate staff, nursing, and food service employees on special diets or formulas
Review and approve menus, formularies, substitutions, or changes
Perform other tasks assigned by the Clinical Nutrition Manager, Lead Clinical Dietitian, or DFNS

Requirements

What you’ll need

Registered Dietitian with the Commission of Dietetic Registration
Licensed dietitian as required per state regulations
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition & Dietetics or related field
Knowledge of regulatory standards
Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software
Ability to interact with individuals of all backgrounds
Effective written, spoken, and non-verbal communication
Service-oriented mentality with a focus on exceeding expectations
Positive and professional demeanor
Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize projects and needs
Willingness to provide support where needed to achieve outcomes
Integrity, respect, and discretion in business dealings
Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
Many healthcare facilities require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place
