About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the end-to-end business and functional analysis lifecycle for digital asset transaction flows, from pre-analysis through execution.
  • Produce clear, testable Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), user stories, and acceptance criteria for transaction lifecycles, account management, and integrations.
  • Map complete transaction flows—deposit detection, address generation, confirmations, withdrawals, screening, and reconciliation—including all edge cases and failure modes.
  • Analyze and document integration specifications for custody providers, financial infrastructure, and payment processors, including API contracts, webhooks, and error handling.
  • Translate AML/KYT, Travel Rule, and regional compliance mandates into actionable functional features alongside Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Define data requirements, audit trails, and reporting frameworks to support trade reconciliation, monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
  • Support Engineering and QA throughout delivery by clarifying requirements, assessing change impact, validating functionality, and leading UAT and vendor sandbox testing.
  • Maintain requirements in Jira and Confluence while mentoring other Business Analysts to raise specification standards across the department.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years on crypto, digital asset, or blockchain-based products.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages would be considered an advantage.
  • Proven experience writing detailed functional specifications for technical products — API integrations, transaction systems, or payment flows — that engineering teams can build from without ambiguity.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals: major networks (e.g. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tron), stablecoins, transaction confirmation models, network fees, and their operational implications.
  • Experience documenting integrations with custody providers, on/off-ramps, or crypto payment processors (e.g. Fireblocks, BitGo, or similar) is a strong advantage.
  • Working knowledge of crypto-specific compliance: AML/KYT screening, Travel Rule, and awareness of frameworks such as MiCA.
  • Technically fluent — comfortable reading API documentation, understanding webhooks, idempotency, and asynchronous processing, and discussing system behavior with Engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data mapping, process modelling, and edge-case analysis.
  • Experience in fintech, brokerage, exchange, or other regulated high-risk environments is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Resumes must be submitted in English.
  • Applicants must be eligible or have legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based.
