About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conducting high-level and complex sales and business development assignments
  • Defining, planning and implementing long-term sales and business development strategies
  • Building business relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Coordinating closely with Sales and Segment Marketing Managers
  • Participating in cross-functional team activities to identify new products
  • Analyzing and maintaining an accurate forecast
  • Completing adequate call reports and account plans leveraging SalesForce
  • Making daily pricing recommendations and negotiating sales contracts
  • Researching market conditions and collecting data to assess competitors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of 5 years of Account Management experience within the Petrochemical industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience is required
  • Good understanding of customers, competitors and markets, new technologies, global supply/demand dynamics
  • Experience in the sales or technical sales of specialty chemicals or white oils is preferred
  • Post-secondary education required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry or Engineering is preferred
  • MBA considered an asset
  • Self-starter with drive and ability to achieve planned objectives
  • Advanced creative, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience using SalesForce, Power BI, SAP an asset
  • Strong crisis management skills
  • Advanced interpersonal and communications skills
