About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Compound, weigh, mix, and process materials throughout the facility
  • Ensure even flow of properly mixed compound through the manufacturing process
  • Check raw materials for contamination using color perception
  • Weigh and mix raw materials according to formulations and instructions
  • Inspect scales for accuracy and operate equipment according to standard procedures
  • Visually check batch mixing consistency and report inconsistencies or process problems to the Production Supervisor
  • Load raw materials and oil into the mixer according to schedule and work instructions
  • Monitor mixing conditions and adjust bulk oil setup as needed
  • Clean mixer chambers, mills, mill pans, tools, workstations, and surrounding areas
  • Maintain efficient machine flow to minimize production loss
  • Report equipment problems and participate in solutions
  • Verify area and equipment safety before performing duties
  • Follow facility safety rules, PPE requirements, and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
  • Maintain equipment in safe operating condition and report issues to Maintenance
  • Participate in training new Associates as directed
  • Perform other projects or tasks assigned by Management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent is desired
  • Successful completion of Competency Assessment may be considered in lieu of education
  • One (1) year manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Good computer and systems skills, including MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds regularly
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to visually identify color differences and material contaminants or inconsistencies
  • Good cooperation and collaboration skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines
  • High concentration, attention to detail, high energy, and self-motivation
  • Ability to manage demands and frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events through organization, prioritization, and problem-solving
