About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical assistance to automotive customers in central Europe, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to product performance and application.
  • Plan, conduct, document, and evaluate tests in production, technical centers, and laboratories.
  • Lead and participate in application technology and development projects, including thorough documentation and reporting.
  • Coordinate and execute product qualifications with selected customers, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Characterize development materials and competitor products to support product development and improvement.
  • Apply knowledge of composite material design models and approaches specifically for automotive applications.
  • Compile and verify technical data for product datasheets, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to support customers in Europe, predominantly Germany and North Italy.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive sector, particularly in technical support and product development.
  • Strong technical competence in plastics, composites, and their production and processing technologies.
  • Extensive experience with composite materials and manufacturing processes in automotive environment.
  • Good understanding of design models and methodologies for structural composite parts in automotive applications.
  • Fluent English is required; proficiency in French and any additional language is appreciated.
