About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a primary contact for technical questions and use case development throughout the user lifecycle
- Provide customer support through chat, email, and Slack
- Understand different Hex user needs and anticipate future questions
- Develop technical content, including demo projects, documentation, and videos
- Identify product weaknesses and common pain points
- Provide feedback and suggestions to the Product team
- Troubleshoot complex problems, investigate bugs, and develop creative Hex workflows
- Work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer teams to understand users and communicate Hex’s capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience as a working data scientist, analyst, or analytics engineer using SQL and Python
- Beyond-the-basics experience with data science tooling and workflows, including Python, Jupyter notebooks, SQL, and BI tools
- Analytical thinking ability to troubleshoot complex problems
- Strong track record of talking to customers and solving their problems
- Excellent communication, empathy, feedback-sharing, and relationship-building skills
- High rate of learning, natural curiosity, and eagerness to debate opinions to find truth
- Passion for teamwork and willingness to provide honest feedback
- If based in San Francisco or New York City, willingness to work in the office at least 2 days per week
- Experience in a user-facing technical capacity, such as Data Consultant or Customer Engineer
- Familiarity with the contemporary data stack across ETL, storage, BI, and ML
- Ability to stay up to date with new data-stack developments
