About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, deliver, and maintain customer-facing, best-in-class user content.
- Create a variety of deliverables: concepts and tasks for networking features, in-product help, installation instructions, illustrations, video scripts, and course modules.
- Produce hands-on learning activities and labs for cloud services, automation, and networking products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to gather requirements and ensure accuracy.
- Analyze product specifications and recommend the best learning approach and content format.
- Learn the customer experience through hands-on use of networking products to ensure practical, usable content.
- Follow established style, process, and quality guidelines to ensure consistency and completeness.
- Lead or support content development projects and coordinate with other writers when required.
- Use AI tools to scale content creation while retaining high quality and accuracy.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years producing technical content, preferably for advanced software or networking products.
- BA/BS in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or related degree; networking certification or comparable experience acceptable.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, accurate, and easy-to-use technical content.
- Good understanding of technology concepts: cloud computing, automation, networking, data centers, security, or other advanced software technology.
- Hands-on experience with network technologies: routing, switching, security, network automation, virtual machines, containers, and cloud services.
- Ability to research complex technical concepts independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with XML authoring, content management systems, and courseware development tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort making progress with incomplete information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to use AI tools effectively to scale content creation.
