About the role
- Act as the go-to governance contact for an assigned GBU, ensuring alignment with enterprise FP&A and Opex processes.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of governance frameworks, SLAs, KPIs, and business controls.
- Provide complex financial analysis and reporting (e.g., P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) to influence decisions and ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies.
- Analyze operational metrics and customer feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Spend Management teams to gather input, surface challenges, and support long-term strategic decision-making.
- Prepare materials and insights for interlock forums, leadership reviews, and cross-functional planning processes.
- Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact global finance functions.
- Track and report on performance metrics, providing actionable recommendations.
- Assist in resource loading assessments and capacity planning across the team.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to analysts, sharing best practices and strengthening governance capabilities.
Requirements
- First-level university degree in business, economics, or related field required.
- Advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., MBA, CPA) strongly preferred.
- Typically 10+ years of experience in financial analysis and governance-related functions.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization or with global teams is a plus.
- Strong understanding of FP&A and/or Opex processes, including key handoffs between BUs and Corporate FP&A.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in tracking, analyzing, and interpreting KPIs and financial data.
- Superior analytical, problem-solving, and business application skills (e.g., Excel).
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and geographies.
- Ability to synthesize feedback and translate it into process and policy improvements.
- Strong communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Nice to have: Customer service orientation, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and deliver value-added support.
