Key responsibilities & impact

Own regional surface freight sourcing intelligence across FTL, LTL, and brokerage markets to enable consistent, data-driven sourcing decisions.
Develop and maintain lane-level and market benchmarks to support RFQs, negotiations, and budgeting.
Provide analytical support for RFIs, RFQs, and renegotiations, including rate normalization, scenario modeling, and total landed cost comparisons.
Partner with sourcing leads to strengthen negotiations using fact-based targets and sensitivity analysis.
Apply standardized savings and cost-avoidance logic to ensure consistency, auditability, and credibility.
Monitor key cost drivers such as fuel indices, accessorials, labor, capacity, and regulatory changes.
Support TMS-enabled and digital RFQ processes by defining analytics and data requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Analytics, Finance, or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred
8–12 years of experience in logistics pricing, sourcing analytics, transportation procurement, or supply chain analytics, with strong surface transportation exposure.
Proven experience supporting RFQs, negotiations, carrier selection, and commercial evaluations.
Strong understanding of surface freight cost models, including FTL/LTL pricing, accessorials, fuel mechanisms, and network concepts.
Excellent understanding of global procurement processes, industry, and complex suppliers.
Ability to convert complex data into clear, actionable sourcing insights.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and communicating findings.
Experience with sourcing optimization tools (e.g., Coupa) preferred.
Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI or similar analytics tools, and familiarity with AI-enabled analytics is a plus.
