About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the correct and timely execution of operational tax routines for companies served under the BPO or Shared Services Center (CSC) model, supporting tax calculations and compliance with ancillary obligations in accordance with applicable legislation, standardized processes and established service levels, contributing to the tax quality, efficiency and security of operations
- Work within the clients' billing scope using the internal ERP or the client's ERP;
- Validate and review Service Receiver Invoices (NFTS) on the relevant municipal portals, according to applicable legislation.
- Validate and analyze tax movements by reconciling information between available tax tools and the internal ERP.
- Validate and analyze inconsistencies, discrepancies or errors in tax records, reporting them promptly to the responsible Pleno or Senior Tax Analyst for review and correction.
- Validate, analyze and perform the initial review of Working Papers (WP) related to:
- Services received and provided;
- Calculation of taxes withheld at source (IRRF, CSRF, ISS and INSS);
- Low-complexity ICMS;
- ICMS differential rate (DIFAL);
- Low-complexity ICMS ST;
- Low-complexity IPI;
- ISS on billing;
- Support the validation of ancillary obligations, including but not limited to:
- SPED Fiscal (EFD ICMS/IPI);
- GIA, when applicable;
- DCTF / DCTFWeb;
- EFD-Reinf;
- Annual State Ancillary Obligations;
- Complete and submit templates and payment slips/guides;
- Control and monitor tax deadlines for the companies/clients served by the CSC.
- Ensure the organization, control and up-to-date maintenance of the digital tax file in accordance with internal policies, contractual requirements and legal obligations.
- Report bookkeeping discrepancies to tax assistants and clerks;
- Request, verify and follow up on the submission of documents necessary to perform tax routines.
- Formally communicate pending issues, inconsistencies and identified risks to the technical owners.
- Support updates to tax registrations with municipal, state and federal authorities.
- Assist with tax vs. accounting reconciliations as directed by the responsible team.
- Provide support during inspections and internal and external audits by preparing, organizing and making tax documents available, always under technical guidance.
- Support the Tax Analyst and immediate leadership.
- Use tax systems, ERPs and government portals in accordance with internal standards.
- Contribute to the standardization, continuous improvement and automation of CSC/BPO processes.
- Stay updated on tax rules and legislation applicable to the activities performed.
- Perform tax and accounting reconciliations related to taxes.
- Support internal and external client service, clarifying operational tax queries.
- Assist in complying with tax calendars and legal deadlines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or currently studying in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the tax area.
