About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Branch Manager in implementing company standards, optimizing warehouse and branch operations, and driving initiatives that enhance productivity and efficiency
- Assist in achieving branch revenue and profitability targets by monitoring financial metrics, executing sales strategies, and identifying opportunities for sales growth
- Lead, mentor, and develop branch staff, including warehouse personnel, drivers, and inside sales teams
- Provide training, performance feedback, and foster a collaborative, high-performing workplace
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, proactively addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and execute strategic plans, leveraging market and operational insights to drive branch growth and operational excellence
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 1–2 years (or more) experience in a warehouse, distribution, or assistant management role
- Prior experience in Landscape distribution preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and execute processes efficiently
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred
- Project management skills, including prioritizing tasks and managing multiple initiatives
- Leadership development experience and succession planning capabilities
- Strong relationship management skills with a focus on retention and satisfaction
- Knowledge of operational and warehouse safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass criminal background and pre-employment drug screening
