About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Branch Manager in implementing company standards, optimizing warehouse and branch operations, and driving initiatives that enhance productivity and efficiency
Assist in achieving branch revenue and profitability targets by monitoring financial metrics, executing sales strategies, and identifying opportunities for sales growth
Lead, mentor, and develop branch staff, including warehouse personnel, drivers, and inside sales teams
Provide training, performance feedback, and foster a collaborative, high-performing workplace
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, proactively addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and execute strategic plans, leveraging market and operational insights to drive branch growth and operational excellence
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 1–2 years (or more) experience in a warehouse, distribution, or assistant management role
Prior experience in Landscape distribution preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage teams and execute processes efficiently
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred
Project management skills, including prioritizing tasks and managing multiple initiatives
Leadership development experience and succession planning capabilities
Strong relationship management skills with a focus on retention and satisfaction
Knowledge of operational and warehouse safety protocols
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to pass criminal background and pre-employment drug screening
